Shekinah is looking for seasonal (spring & summer) workers for 2023!
Check back as we add jobs to this page.
If you enjoy working outdoors in a challenging environment, Shekinah may be the place for you. Most jobs at Shekinah demand a basic level of fitness (everything is uphill at Shekinah!), but you certainly don't have to be an Olympic athlete.
We are a small nonprofit, so you may be required to don a variety of hats for short periods of time.
We expect every worker at Shekinah - whether full time or part time - to treat everyone with care and respect, regardless of race, gender, orientation, or religious affiliation.
All positions, as they require work with or around children, require an up-to-date police records check.
Spring & Summer Positions
Our spring and summer positions are perfect for university students or those looking for short term work for spring / summer. They are all either 8 week or 16 week positions and can be combined together.
Bible Camp Counsellors
Working directly with our summer camp leader and program director, this is an 8 week position that runs from June 26-August 18. You must be graduating from high school in 2023 or older to be eligible.
Camp orientation starts the last week of June, and we will accommodate any high school counsellors who are still in school at that time.
This is probably obvious, but you MUST love working with children. You will be in charge of up to 8 campers and will be required to care for them during their time at Shekinah.
Shekinah summer camp is a bible camp, so you will be required to attend a morning bible time, an evening campfire, and deliver an evening devotional.
These are high energy, high dedication, and high personal reward positions.
